Working VP6DX was quite easy on 20 meters early Wednesday evening. I didn't think I was going to get them on any band, so to have worked them on 2 bands is great! I did try 40 meters later in the evening, but the pileup was huge and the low bands have never been terrific for me from the home qth.

VP6DX -17 & 20 Meters
Today while doing some projects around the shack I was keeping an ear out for VP6DX - Ducie Island DxExpedition. I heard them on 17 around 1700 UTC and periodically through my call out...with no success. A few hours later after they went simplex from working split, I walked by the radio and it sounded rather quiet, so I tried again, and they came right back! The bad patch cable is now in the round file !
