As I mentioned in a previous post I came across a good deal on a new computer for my logging software. Well last week the deal got even better! So I picked up two more and decided the time had come to migrate Weather-Display to another computer. I made the switch yesterday and so far all seems to be running quite well. I'm sure the extra 3 3/4 GB of ram help as the old machine had a whopping 256 megs of ram. I have seen quite an improvement in the time it takes for the hourly updates to be compiled and uploaded to www.norwalkweather.com. Let's say we have gone from about 90 seconds or more to around 15 seconds for the entire process.
