As we head into the first week of October, things are moving along albeit slower than I'd like in finishing up the remodel of the radio room. With the weather having finally cooled down (compared to 1 month ago when we were cabling the tower), I want to finish up a few outside projects before November 1st. Basically when it gets cold I'll get back to finishing up things inside. In other news I ran a virus scan on the computer that holds my ham radio logging program. Big Mistake! The anti-virus software decided that the exe file for the logging program contained a virus...not! It quarantined the file and then when I went to pull the file back to its original location the AV program said "File gone...too bad!" or words like that! Anyway Dennis WN4AZY was kind enough to email me the exe file and I was back in business. So between that problem and being a bit under the weather myself plus the geomagnetic storm I didn't operate this week. Looking forward to getting a few minutes to operate this weekend and try and get the XYL WX1LDB on 10 meters. Of course that is my plan now but I know things will change.
