Its been way too long since my last post, but life outside of ham radio has kept me busy the past few weeks.
This week I finally have a picture of the inside of the mobile installation. In the picture at left you will see the two mobile rigs. On the left is the Icom 7000 HF/VHF/UHF transceiver. To the right is the Kenwood D700 VHF/UHF rig. I'm using the stock microphones for both rigs, though I do use a headset for the IC-7000 on long trips.
Only one more part of the installation to go, and that is cleaning up some wiring between the remote heads and the main units for both rigs.
Not much DX activity for me either, other than working Cuba. Look for some updates on my next project coming soon.
