Its been a while since my last post. Personal issues have kept me away from the blog and ham radio for much of the last 6 months. But even with these long nights things are looking brighter as we head toward 2013. I managed to get the Noaaport server running by pulling the hard drive and installing in another server. Still need to build my backup unit as soon as the latest Freebsd release hits the street.
Last month I finally got on HF for a bit. Had an enjoyable time for about an hour listening to my good friend KB4JKL run the Martime Mobile net on 14.300. At least I know my HF gear still works!
Not much else to report. I was off to a good start last year with the blog at least for the 1st half of the year. Hopefully in 2013 I will post more frequently!
