Mobile Speaker Burns up

My Clearspeech speaker that I have had for the last 10 years finally fried itself today. Yesterday I plugged power in and saw some smoke and quickly pulled that out. Thinking it was a bad connector or wire, this morning I re-wired and plugged power in and poof! This time the power wire rapidly melted from the powerpoles up to the speaker. That speaker is now history. Looking to replace with just a plain non powered mobile speaker!
