After plenty of research and hands on troubleshooting I think I have figured out the problem with the HF mobile antenna. It appears that the ball mount is not properly grounded to the body of the car. I had this mount installed professionally and was assured that it would be installed correctly. So with that in mind I hope to stop by the local shop this week and see if this problem can be solved. As a test I did put the HF antenna on top of the car using and NMO-to 3/8 adapter and the analyzer looked find across all bands. Hopefully maybe by the end of the week I'll be HF mobile again!
