As I mentioned in my earlier post about the Noaaport system I was doing some work on the tower today. While checking things over I noticed that the support cables that hold the tower in the "up" position are rusting. Not a good thing! I am going to order cables to replace the rusted set. Then I need to lay the tower on its side while moving the elements on the beam so they don't stick into the ground or snap. Hope to get a "mechanical" person to oversee my efforts so that things run smoothly. With any luck maybe I'll get this done before the 1st snowfall
