Haven't had all that much time to get on the air the last week or so but I did manage to work two new ones this week:
Monday I worked V51LK in Namibia on 17 meters. Easy contact and excellent signals at midday into Africa. The next one required lots and lots of patience!
TX5C Clipperton Island. Signals here into Connecticut have not been all that strong, and I figured let the others fight it out for contacts early in the DxExpedition! This afternoon I was rewarded for that patience as TX5C was q uite strong on 17 meters without many takers. Took a few minutes as the operator was doing some rag chewing and then on my 2nd attempt he came right back to me.
For one that does not get lots of time to operate, its been a succesfull week of DX'ing and my weekend still has 24 hours to go.
In other news, I just got a new mount for the mobile antenna. Going to require some drilling to install and then hopefully the long awaited pictures of the mobile installation.
